Dr. Holden and Dr. Tsujimura provide their patients, at Scottsdale Plastic Surgeons, with an advanced nonsurgical skin rejuvenation treatment called ultherapy. It is a skin tightening technique that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin including the eyebrows, neck and under the chin. Once stimulated, these specific layers permit the body’s own natural healing process to lift and tighten loose skin on the face, without disturbing the surface of the skin. Our Scottsdale patients, who use ultherapy, have amazingly tighter skin that looks smoother and younger.
"Passionate About His Work - Scottsdale, AZ - As a fellow physician, I know how important it is that a doctor is not only well trained, but also passionate about their work. Dr. Holden graduated from one of the best facial plastic surgery fellowships in the country. His training is quite impressive, but it is also evident that he truly loves what he does which translates into quality results and an amazing bedside manner. He takes the time to thoroughly explain the procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives. I never felt pressured into a procedure, but did receive adequate guidance and information from Dr. Holden to make an educated decision. I opted to have Ultherapy, laser resurfacing, botox, and fillers. I'm thrilled with the results! Dr. Holden was able to take years off my face through minimally invasive means. I would highly recommend him."- F. / RealSelf / Mar 08, 2012
"Ultherapy. Scottsdale, AZ - My experience of Ultherapy with Dr. Holden was just as he said it would be. Dr. Holden was very present with all of my questions and concerns. The treatment itself is not exactly a walk in the park, since the laser does sting a bit as it fires. But it is more or less tolerable. And after the 3 (or so) day healing process my skin felt tighter and had a newly resurfaced kind of glow.I found Dr. Holden to be a kind, competent, caring man, who felt very trustable to me."- J. / RealSelf / Sep 08, 2015
Ultherapy Procedure Process
Ultherapy is an in-office, outpatient procedure that is performed without the use of anesthesia, and in less than 30 minutes. Once the targeted areas to be treated are confirmed, the practitioner will administer the ultrasound rays via a handheld device to these areas. During the procedure, patients will feel a mild warming sensation or prickling beneath their skin. This procedure does not cause pain nor does it cause discomfort in most cases.
What to Expect with Ultherapy
Ultherapy will produce a “boost” in the skin’s appearance almost immediately following the procedure. However, optimal results typically reveal themselves over time within 2-3 months. This is because elastic collagen builds over time, producing results slowly and effectively. While Ultherapy does not produce the dramatic results that surgery typically does, it is a great alternative for those seeking subtle changes without having to undergo surgery.
Ultherapy Expected Cost
The cost of an Ultherapy procedure depends on the location of the targeted areas and the number of treatment sessions. On average, an Ulthera procedure for the brow costs $1,800, $2,500 for the lower face or neck, and the cost for the entire face is usually $4,000. Patients should understand that several treatments might be required.
Plan Your Procedure
- Procedure Recovery Location
Ultherapy is an ideal procedure for individuals that are not comfortable with an invasive surgical procedure, but still want to see noticeable results. Ultherapy is perfect for anyone that has noticed a “relaxing” of their skin, especially around the eyebrows, on the neck, and under the chin. The ideal age for this treatment are those in their 30’s and 40’s, who experience moderate skin laxity.
How Long do the Results Last?
Ultherapy results can be seen immediately following the procedure, however, it is more common for patients to see results a few months following their procedure. Patients can expect the results to last for a year at which time they could undergo another procedure.
How Many Treatments?
The amount of treatments required for optimal results depends on the patient and their goals. Some patients will only need a single treatment session, while others will require several.
